Matt Cooper Talks About His Relationship With Cal Thomas Off-Air

This week in the hot seat for Ask Me Anything was none other then Matt Cooper, presenter of the Last Word here on Today FM. Matt spoke to Dermot & Dave about everything from his love of the Kardashians to how he thinks the Irish Government are handling the Covid-19 situation. But one of the most popular questions that came in was about one of the contributes to his show, Cal Thomas. For those of you who are unaware, Cal appears alongside journalist Marion McKeon on The Last Word where they debate the biggest stories of the week in the USA. Cal is a Republican and would be a supporter of Donald Trump and his administration, and this often leads to a clash of heads between Matt and himself on-air. However, when asked about their relationship off-air by Dermot & Dave, Matt revealed the pair get on "extremely well" and that Cal has even visited Matt in Dublin a number of times. Matt has also visited Cal's home in the United States, and although the two don't see eye to eye on some political issues, they are the best of friends.
