Mary Walsh- Cork City Council Scientist

The free pop up science festival is taking place this weekend is Fitzgerald’s Park, from 11-6 pm on both the Saturday and Sunday. It’s open to all the family, with over 45 different science activities as well as Live Performers, Workshops, Demonstrations, a Sports Zone, Live Music and Food Venders. The aim is to make science fun by taking it out of the classroom, where you will have the opportunity to learn how to extract DNA, Drive Mini Robots and walking through a pop up digestive system. All exhibits on display will be coming from Ireland and further afield. The event is organised by Cork City Council, and our Red Patrollers will be on site.
