Maria's Telly - What To Watch This Week

The best of the box Dermot and Dave producer Maria Devereux is a walking TV guide, who loves telling us what's hot on the telly. Here's what Maz reckons we should be watching this week: The 2020 26th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards - Tonight (Monday) @9pm on RTÉ Two Highlights of the ceremony celebrating outstanding film and TV performances during 2019, with Robert De Niro receiving the Life Achievement Award. Plus Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston's juicy reunion. Here's a little peak at Brad in action:   Celebrity Ex on the Beach - Tuesday @10pm on MTV Eight single celebrities meet in a luxury villa. Sparks fly for Joey, Calum walks into a surprise, Lateysha takes a shining to a 'bad boy' and the first celeb ex arrives. Maria's words: "Love Island times a million":   Inside the Crown: Secrets of the Royals - Thursday @9pm on UTV/ITV Major four-part documentary telling the inside story of the royal family and the Queen's record-breaking reign. The first episode focuses on the conflict between love and duty that faces the royals - and which has occasionally threatened to bring down the House of Windsor. Edward VIII fatefully chose love when he abdicated to marry divorcee Wallis Simpson. Charles chose duty when he married Diana. The Queen, however, has managed to find a balance, maintaining a long marriage while becoming the longest-serving monarch.   Movie of the Week Mrs Doubtfire - Tonight @8:35pm on E4 After Daniel Hillard (Robin Williams), an unemployed actor, loses custody of his three children to his ex-wife (Sally Field), he realizes that seeing his kids once a week just isn’t enough. So the crafty thespian dresses as “Mrs. Doubtfire,” an elderly British nanny with a sharp tongue and an endearing way with children, in order to be close to his kids in this bright, heartwarming comedy. Ya can't beat a bit of Euphegenia! Check out Maria's recommendations in full by pressing the play button on screen.
