"From Local Crop to Local Crisp" #BuyLocal
As part of our 'Buy Local' series we wanted to find a farming family that make a difference in their community, that hire local people and use local products. The Keogh family have been growing potatoes for 200 years on their farm outside Oldtown in North County Dublin.
In recent years they have branched out into making crisps, Henry McKean met them on their local farm 'from local crop to local crisp'
Henry meets a local apple farmer who makes the apple vinegar for their salt and vinegar crisps. Llewellyn’s Irish Cider Vinegar made from local Irish apples. Locally produced in Lusk, County Dublin by David Llewellyn.
