Listener email: Being called the wrong name - is it too late to correct someone?
Listener Sarah got in touch: 'Ciara – I need to know some etiquette on this... There’s a mother of a boy in my son’s class and she’s lovely, we get on really well. Our sons have recently started going on play dates – which is great – except there’s one problem. She calls me Lisa all the time, she texts me saying ‘Hi Lisa..’ says ‘Hi Lisa’ whenever she sees me but my name is not Lisa , its Sarah. I’ve been answering to Lisa all year. At what stage do I tell her my name is not Lisa, or do I just keep it to myself. I don’t know what to do. I’m afraid my son is going to tell her and she’ll think I’m weird for not telling her but every time I go to correct her I bottle it. It’s just gone too far. Please help. Thanks in advance. Sarah (not Lisa!)'
