We hear so often the warnings about drinking and over indulgence but does it matter who is giving us these warnings? Yesterday Minister for Health Simon Harris commented as part of the launch of a ‘Know the Score’ – a new educational resource on drugs and alcohol for senior cycle students about it being inappropriate for schools to use material developed by organisations funded by the alcohol industry… Sheena Horgan CEO of Drinkaware , a National Charity that is supported by voluntary donations from retailers and producers, as well as the alcohol and grocery industries and Head of Communications and advocacy at Alcohol Action Ireland a National Charity currently funded through a mix of state and non-state funding, including charitable foundations and individual donations Eunan McKinney joined Ivan to discuss.
