Ursula Von der Leyen, who is seeking to replace Jean-Claude Juncker as the European Commission president has made last-minute pledges on the climate crisis, Brexit, an EU minimum wage and gender quotas for company boards as she faces a knife-edge vote on her candidacy. Ahead of the vote, Ivan was joined by the Brexit Party leader, Nigel Farage who had a tetchy encounter with Ursula von der Leyen in the Parliament today. Farage also revealed he believes the UK will look for a Brexit extension, regardless of who wins the Tory leadership race. And he described the recent remarks by President Michael D Higgins about 'our nearest neighbour throwing a tantrum' as "very immature, very silly..."
