The Last Word On Music - Remembering Eddie Van Halen

The rock world was shocked by the death of Eddie Van Halen last week at the age of 65. The Van Halen guitarist, who had been ill with throat cancer for some time, was widely considered to be one of the greatest players of his generation and popularised the tapping technique. Since his passing, streams of Van Halen's music have reportedly increased by over 1,300% in the US. John Caddell and Dee Reddy remembered him in our weekly music slot and reviewed new releases by Pearl Jam, Smashing Pumpkins and Stevie Nicks.
