Johnny Depp Loses Libel Action Against The Sun

Johnny Depp has lost his libel action against The Sun over a 2018 article which labelled him a "wife beater". The actor sued the paper's publisher, News Group Newspapers, and its executive editor Dan Wootton after an article was published alleging that he had been violent to his ex-wife Amber Heard during their relationship, something Depp has always denied. The High Court judge today dismissed the claim, saying NGN had proved what was in the article to be "substantially true". Nick Ferrari, presenter of Nick Ferrari at Breakfast on LBC, joined us to discuss this story in detail. [audio mp3="https://media.radiocms.net/uploads/2020/11/02170751/LW-Johnny-Depp.mp3"][/audio]
