Has it become harder and harder to see ashes on people’s forehead on the street? 20 years ago it was commonplace, you were the odd one out if you didn’t have ash on your head. What has changed? Henry McKean visited the Pro Cathedral and wandered across Dublin to find people with ash on their head and found 11 people in a city of 1.5 million people.  78.8% (3.7 million) of the population identified as Catholic down from 84% in 2011.
