Ireland Celebrates The Legend That Was Gay Byrne

Legendary broadcaster Gay Byrne sadly passed away yesterday after a battle with cancer. Gay was one of the most notable voices in the history of Irish broadcasting, whether on TV or on the airwaves. The Late Late Show was presented by Gay for 37 years from 1962 to 1999 and he also hosted the International Rose of Tralee Festival for 17 years. This morning Dermot and Dave paid tribute to the broadcasting giant and honoured his memory by speaking to people who he had a profound effect on such as Pat Kenny, Paul McGrath, Dáithí Ó Sé and Louis Walsh.
