Inside The Weight Loss Surgery Trips To Turkey Organised By Irish Company

Irish surgeons are reporting a massive increase in patients requiring treatment for complications from botched weight-loss operations abroad. It has been revealed that it cost St Vincent’s, the main centre for bariatric surgery in the Republic, €1 million to treat 90 patients arriving with complications over the past four years. Professor Helen Heneghan, Consultant Bariatric Surgeon at St. Vincent's University Hospital, Dublin spoke to Andrea today about the cost it's having on the HSE, while she was also joined by Shane, who runs a company with sends people out to Turkey for weight loss treatment.
