Industry Review -GPs
Often the role of the GP is that of a gatekeeper; the provider of a wide range of health services, and perhaps even council for problems we wouldn’t want to discuss elsewhere.
But, that demand has only grown in recent years with increasing pressures on our GPs to provide the care that we’ve come to expect.
So for this week’s Industry Review, we wanted to get a bit of a health check of the industry and see how three GPs are faring.
Bobby was joined by:
Dr Austin O’Carroll, GP at the Mountjoy Street Family Practice and founder of Safetynet as well as North Dublin City GP Training programme.
Dr Rukshan Goonewardena GP from the Ballyjamesduff Family Practice co Cavan & Director of ICGPs' Network of Establishing GPs Programme.
Dr Gerry Mansfield, GP at Sheahan Medical Practice.
