"I'm so angry the way we treat older people in this country" Radio reporter runs for office, Valerie Cox
Former RTE radio reporter Valerie Cox has decided to run in the General Election in Wicklow as an Independent. Valerie will run on a platform for older people. Two reporters go to war, one runs for office and the other is Henry McKean, who has to play second fiddle to Valerie Cox.
In this double trouble exclusive, the two reporters stop commuters at Bray Dart station.
Valerie Cox's entry to the race, could shake up the hotly contested battle in the 5 seat Wicklow constituency.
The Workplace Relations Commission ordered RTÉ to pay €50,000 to former employee Valerie Cox because the broadcaster discriminated against her on age grounds.
