"I caught a woman red-handed throwing a bag of rubbish into a stream"

A Limerick Green Party Councillor Green councillor Sean Hartigan is calling for those who are caught dumping rubbish to be named and shamed.   This comes after the councillor described ‘van loads’ of rubbish being dumped between Newport and Castleconnell in recent weeks.    John Hardiman is chair of Castleconnell Tidy Towns he explained how bad dumpings is in the area. Gina in Kildare recalled someone dumping rubbish down her family's farm avenue. Gerry in Galway spoke to Adrian about how he has had trouble reporting illegal dumping to the council. Tony McCormack, Fianna Fail Councillor in Tullamore agrees that we should name and shame those who are caught illegally dumping.
