HSE To Spend €2 Billion Over Next Three Years

The HSE has today announced its 2019 financial plan, after months of delay. Just over €2 billion will be spent over the next three years, which will provide for 480 extra hospital beds, 100 more mental health beds, refurbishment of 58 community nursing homes and 30 new primary care centres, among other projects. The new national children's hospital is currently budgeted for €1.7 billion. Minister for Health Simon Harris joined us to discuss the details of the plan.
