HSE Cyber Attack: Stolen Patient Information Now Being Shared Online

Following a cyber attack on the HSE last week, information about Irish patients stolen by hackers is now being shared online. According to screenshots and files seen by the Financial Times, medical and personal information was shared with the publication as a sample to prove the hackers were in possession of the full cyber attack. One file reviewed includes admission records and laboratory results for a man who was admitted to hospital for palliative care, details in that file matched a death notice seen by the FT.  Laura Noonan, Acting Ireland Correspondent with the Financial Times and Ronan Murphy, CEO of SmartTech247 joined The Last Word to discuss.
