How Elon Musk Is Bringing High-Speed Broadband To West Cork

When the people of Knockawaddra, West Cork started working from home last year, the lack of decent internet coverage became a massive issue for them. Living in between hills and trees has left residents in an internet 'dead zone' and some have taken to going up a hill to a stone circle in an attempt to connect. Frustrated and losing out on valuable business, Emma Fitzpatrick and Lesley Cox who live and work in Knockawaddra, decided to aim for space. Space X to be exact. The pair had written to billionaire Elon Musk to see if his Spacex company could help finally get them online. Speaking to Dermot and Dave, Emma revealed the exciting response they've had from Elon Musk and his team and how the improved internet connectivity will help them.
