How can parents better encourage girls into sport?

The Dads from Off The Ball get together regularly on the 'Dadcast' to discuss what it’s like to be a father. They just had Ireland rugby legend Paul O’Connell as a guest on this week, and he spoke about how he unconsciously encourages his son into sport in a stronger way than his daughter; and it can be as simple as buying rugby jerseys for him from a young age, or putting a hurley in his hand before he could walk.
