GPs Voice Concern Over Contact Tracing Confusion

GPs are now referring close contacts of positive COVID-19 cases for tests. This will be the case until numbers are manageable for Public Health and contact tracers again. People who tested positive last weekend have been asked to do their own contact tracing due to pressure on the system, and close contacts are in turn being asked to contact their GP for referrals. Health blogger and Cork GP Dr Doireann O'Leary joined us for our weekly medical slot to discuss these issues with contact tracing and how GPs are coping with the upsurge in cases.
