Gavin James and Gail Platt Could Be Related

Just when we thought we couldn't love Gavin James anymore, turns out we were wrong. Today on Dermot & Dave, producer Maria was chatting about all things entertainment, when Coronation Street came up. Maz revealed that some of the older cast members of the ITV soup may not be able to return to the show until 2021 due to Covid-19. Production on the show was suspended back in March after the British Government announced a nationwide lockdown in order to slow the spread of the Coronavirus. Show bosses are now putting a plan together to return to work, and some of the precautions being looked at in order to ensure the safety of all staff members on set are social distancing and limiting the number of older cast members on set. This got Maria and the lads chatting about what characters might be impacted by the new rules. Dave then Googled the actress who plays Gail Platt, and found out her real name is Cathryn Wigglesworth, sharing the same second name as Ireland's beloved Gavin James.
