Garda Crackdown On Pubs And House Parties That Don't Comply With Guidelines

The Cabinet is to consider NPHET recommendations which would give Gardaí the power to close pubs found to be in breach of COVID-19 guidelines. Organising or attending a house party with more than six people, either indoors or outdoors, could also be made a criminal offence. Padraig Cribben, Chief Executive of the Vintners Federation of Ireland, and Liam Herrick, Executive Director of the Irish Council for Civil Liberties, joined us to discuss this.
