G7 Says Taliban Must Provide Safe Passage For Refugees

The G7 group of nations has said the Taliban must provide safe passage for refugees looking to leave Afghanistan beyond the planned 31st of August date for the withdrawal of US and other foreign troops. It now looks increasingly likely that US president Joe Biden will not extend the month’s end date while the Taliban have warned of “consequences” if it was extended. Tim Marshall Former Diplomatic Editor and Foreign Correspondent with Sky News spoke to us this morning with the latest from the situation there.
