Should Fur Farming Be Banned In Ireland?

The government is planning to phase out fur farming in Ireland. Minister for Agriculture Michael Creed is aiming to introduce legislation to ban the practice, following in the footsteps of 14 other EU member states who have already done so. Would this be a good idea? Is fur farming cruel and unnecessary, or would banning it cost farmers their livelihoods? We were joined by Redmond O'Hanlon, a former mink farmer, and Mark Hanlon, a member of the Green Party and Fur Free Cork, to discuss the issue.
