Five years on from the Scottish Independence vote...

5 years ago, Scottish civil servant and OBE Mary Pitcaithly confirmed that Scotland had voted ‘No’ in the historic vote on Scottish Independence. It was a vote that then UK Prime Minister David Cameron described as a ‘once in a generation vote’. Scots rejected independence by 55% to 45% in a referendum in 2014. So what happened, and where are we at now? Ian Blackford is the Leader of the SNP in the House of Commons, and joined Mark Cagney to tell him what happened 5 years ago, and whether there is appetite for a second referendum. UCC lecturer Amanullah de Sondy, who grew up in Glasgow, also gave some of his reflections.
