The fate of the pub industry in rural Ireland

Could the remaining pubs around the country remain shut for the foreseeable? That remains a possibility, in light of some well-publicised incidents of people crowding into Dublin city centre's streets with drink over the weekend. But those that may be more dramatically affected by closures or curtailing of crowds include rural pubs.
