Calls For Fast Food Spots To Print Car Reg Numbers On Drive-Thru Bags To Stop Littering

A Fine Gael Senator is calling for car registration numbers to be placed on drive-thru takeaway bags to stop people littering. John McGahon made the suggestion after he uncovered a large volume of takeaway litter while cleaning the side of a road outside Dundalk. He believes that allowing for litter to be traced back to a car owner would deter people from throwing rubbish out their windows. Is he right? Helen Vaughan and Donal O'Donoghue discussed this and more in The Week Trending. [audio mp3="https://media.radiocms.net/uploads/2021/04/23170213/LW-Drive-Thru-Litter.mp3"][/audio]
