EU leaders meet as Russia continue their invasion of Ukraine despite peace talks

Russia’s invasion of Ukraine is continuing despite leaders from both countries meeting in Turkey yesterday.  The countries foreign ministers but no deal was reached with Russia demanding that Ukraine be disarmed, accept neutral status and formally accept Russia’s annexation of Crimea. Kim Sengupta, Defence and Diplomatic Editor of The Independent, in Kyiv joined us on the show this morning meanwhile, Taoiseach Mícheál Martin has joined his fellow EU leaders to discuss the ongoing crisis for a 2-day summit in Paris. Fresh economic sanctions on Russia could be imposed following the summit. Danny McConnell Political Editor with the Irish Examiner is at that EU leader's summit...
