Employees are not required to tell bosses about Covid-19 test results
There was a number of concerns raised in a recent cabinet committee meeting about how data privacy legislation means employees are not required to alert employers to their Covid-19 test results. Officials are now examining whether business owners can be told if one of their workers has tested positive, without being given the personal details of each individual who contracted the virus.
