The Doctor Who Finished His Late Wife's Memoir

In 2017, Dr Kathleen McGarry decided to write a memoir detailing her personal experience of living with cancer. She recorded her observations on her illness and treatment in the form of diaries. Before she died, her husband Dr Finbar Lennon promised to complete the book for her. The Heavens Are All Blue is Kathleen's memoir, co-authored by Finbar. Finbar joined us on The Last Word to talk about Kathleen's illness and how completing the book helped him cope with his grief.
