Today FM is proud to support Down Syndrome Ireland's fifth annual Purple Run on Sunday 22 March in the Phoenix Park. We would like the general public "to run with us, not for us" alongside people with Down Syndrome and their families. In Ireland, less than 5% of adults with Down Syndrome secure 'meaningful' employment. This is something Down Syndrome Ireland is helping people to do. We were joined by Amy Purcell and Fintan Bray, who told us about their own experiences of finding work, as well as Aoife Gaffney, Head of Employment at Down Syndrome Ireland.
