Introducing 'dermot log' & 'Dermot J Whelan' Catfishing first entered the lexicon back in 2010 or so, and really came to the fore thanks to Catfish: The TV Show, which burst onto our screens in 2012. If you're unfamiliar with the term, it means to lure someone into a relationship (or otherwise) with a fake online persona. It's something that happens quite regularly on social media, as Dermot Whelan recently discovered: View this post on Instagram I've been catfished! Apparently I sell hash. Who knew?? And clearly I'm not afraid of showing it as I stand on my canabis patch with my pitchfork. #jobsatisfaction A post shared by Dermot Whelan (@dermottodayfm) on Nov 13, 2019 at 1:28am PST As if that wasn't bad enough, he then found a 'Dermot J Whelan' on Facebook, who was again using pictures of the Limerick man mixed with more pictures of weed/marijuana/gange...call it what you will. We weren't quick enough to get a snap of the Facebook imposter's page as it was taken down immediately after being rumbled. The lads explore the occurrences and hear some of our listener's catfish stories. Check out the fun in full by pressing the play button on screen.
