Dermot Bannon & Diarmuid Gavin Join Forces For The New Series Of Room To Improve

Super-designers Assemble! In every aspect of life, there's always room to improve, but if you need some architectural help, there's only one man you want in your corner - Mr Dermot Bannon. The window-loving, budget-abiding visionary built up a frenzy on Instagram last weekend with this teasing post:   View this post on Instagram   This time next week ?#sneakpeak #roomtoimprove @rteone.......first episode with a special guest......... A post shared by Dermot Bannon (@dermotbannon) on Sep 1, 2019 at 1:04pm PDT Room To Improve returns to our screens this Sunday (8th) @9:30pm on RTÉ One for its 12th series and the 6-parter sounds like it might just be the best yet. Dermot chats to The Ian Dempsey Breakfast Show about the new season and what it was like joining forces with another Irish design hero for the first episode. Green-fingered God Diarmuid Gavin is called in to create a dream home and garden for Dave & Nessa in Athgarvan, Co Kildare, but that back garden turns out to be "the elephant in the room". Bannon describes the project as "one of my favourites", even if Nessa was a bit too trusting. He also reveals details of when the 2-part show of his own home's renovation will be aired and hints at bringing Dermot Bannon's Incredible Homes to more culturally diverse countries saying, " I think we're getting into our groove with that".
