Dáil To Debate New Garda Powers To Close Down Pubs

Legislation to give Gardaí extra powers of enforcement is being debated in the Dáil today. It would allow them to close down pubs for up to a month if they are in breach of public health guidelines. Liam Herrick, Executive Director of the Irish Council for Civil Liberties, and Padraig Cribben, Chief Executive of the Vintners Federation of Ireland, joined us to give their thoughts on the proposals being debated.
