Covid Maternity Restrictions: “Partners Are Not Visitors They Are Vital”

The Rotunda Hospital in Dublin says they won't be punishing patients who choose not to get vaccinated. The maternity hospital says low vaccination rates among pregnant women and their partners is part of the reason that it's currently maintaining restrictions. The Master of the Rotunda Fergal Malone says the uptake of vaccination amongst pregnant women is around 39%. Alison Healy, Channel Manager Today FM and expectant mother, Peter Boylan, former Master of Holles Street, and Holly Cairns, Social Democrat TD for West Cork, joined The Last Word to discuss maternity restrictions.
