The COVID Aftermath: GP Diagnosed As Asymptomatic Now Has Inflammation Of The Heart

There is mounting evidence to suggest that mild or asymptomatic cases of COVID-19 can have significant after-effects. A Kildare GP has now spoken out about the heart problems he has been suffering from, months after contracting COVID-19. Adrian McGoldrick, former Chief Medical Officer of the Turf Club, tested positive for the virus in May but was asymptomatic. He has since been diagnosed with myocarditis, or inflammation of the heart muscle, which is most commonly caused by viral infections. Adrian joined us on The Last Word to share his story and discuss the importance of following public health guidelines even if you have had no symptoms.
