"I can't see anything but a no deal Brexit!"

The European Council President says a letter he received from Boris Johnson offers no "realistic alternatives" to the backstop.  Donald Tusk has rejected the British Prime Minister's demands for major changes to the measure. In his letter yesterday, Mr. Johnson said he's willing to explore "creative solutions" as an alternative. Also, Boris Johnson has told the Taoiseach the Common Travel Area won't be affected by the ending of freedom of movement after Brexit.  The British Prime Minister made the remarks in an hour-long phone call with Leo Varadkar yesterday evening. It was also announced both leaders will meet in Dublin next month. Ivan spoke to former Taoiseach John Bruton about the declining Anglo Irish relationship.
