Can Working From Home Revive Rural Communities?
The pandemic has forced many people to work from home, and some businesses are considering the possibility of allowing employees to do so indefinitely.
As more people leave urban areas and cut their commute times, could we see a revival of rural communities?
Denis Naughten, Independent TD for Roscommon/Galway, is among a group of rural TDs proposing the introduction of a grant in next month's budget for working from home.
He joined us along with Mary Connaughton, Director of CIPD Ireland, Anthony Kelly, co-founder and Chief Customer Officer at Glofox, and career psychologist Sinead Brady, who has given up her office in Dublin to work from home in rural Ireland.
