Newstalk is continuing  our look back at the 20 most influential moments of the last 20 years.  Today we look at The United Kingdom's ground-breaking decision to pull away from the EU in a move most commonly classified as ‘Brexit’.  On 23 June 2016, the UK held a referendum on its membership of the EU. The question facing voters was: ‘Should the United Kingdom remain a member of the European Union or leave the European Union?’. With an incredibly tight margin, 51.89% of voters voted to leave the EU.
