Are Proposals To Rename The Kerryman Newspaper "Political Correctness Gone Mad"?

Independent TD Michael Healy-Rae was not happy with Minister of State Josepha Madigan's suggestion earlier this week that The Kerryman newspaper should be renamed. Speaking about the need for more gender-neutral language, Minister Madigan used the newspaper as an example, saying that "perhaps it's time for The Kerryman to become The Kerry Person?" Michael Healy-Rae has defended the title, saying that The Kerryman is "comparable to the Bible" and describing a potential name change as "political correctness gone mad". Is he right?
