All events in Aviva will become designated events from tonight. #TicketTouts

All events in Aviva will become designated events  from tonight. It will be illegal to attempt to resell tickets above face value. You could face a fine or face a ban from a sports body. But if you buy a blackmarket ticket up until midnight tonight you are not breaking the law. The FAI has since confirmed it only applied for the World Cup qualifier match to be designated under the legislation yesterday. Autumn International rugby tickets will be 100% subject to the law. Fans are being urged to not buy tickets sold on third-party websites, with the FAI saying they risk not being allowed into the stadium. Former TD for Dublin North West Fine Gael Noel Rock who designed the law spoke exclusively to Henry McKean and Newstalk.
