A Whole New Plan for Living

This week on Alive and Kicking Clare McKenna chats to Professor Jim Lucey who is a clinical professor of psychiatry at Trinity College Dublin and consultant psychiatrist at St Patrick’s University Hospital in Dublin. He was medical director of St Patrick’s mental health service until his retirement in 2019 and he has over 30 years experience working in the mental health sector. He has written a new book ‘A Whole New Plan for Living’ thinks we need to stop calling it mental health and simply focus on whole health. Clare also talks Personal Trainer Grainne O’Driscoll about the importance of maintaining bone health, particularly for women as they age and how weight training and Pilates can help. And nutritional therapist Elsa Jones on how the way we eat can have a positive impact on the tough stuff lockdown is throwing at us.
