Would 7 Episodes Of 'Coronation Street' A Week Be Overkill?

Coronation Street is currently on our screens for six episodes a week, but it's looking increasingly likely that this could be extended to seven episodes a week in the near future. One of the show's scriptwriters made the revelation in a recent interview with The Sun, but admitted that the cast and crew are already feeling the strain. How much is too much? Our producer Diarmuid Doyle, who has been watching Coronation Street for years, gave his thoughts on whether increasing the number of episodes would be a good or bad move. Aoife Barry and Joe O'Shea also joined us to discuss the week's other TV news, including the return of I'm a Celebrity, the long-awaited third season of The Crown and a possible Frasier reboot.
