20x20 - Irish underage footballer Rebecca McMahon on her love of sport

Irish underage international footballer Rebecca McMahon joined Nathan Murphy in studio alongside her dad Ciaran, who works closely with both Shamrock Rovers and Peamount United. We were discussing Rebecca's story of getting involved in sport, and how more young girls can take up activities. Off The Ball are delighted to have been a proud partner of 20x20 over the past year and we’re not done yet!  We’re looking to increase participation in women’s sport, to increase attendance at women’s sporting events, and also to promote more female athletes. Here on Off The Ball we’re committed to improving and continuing to improve our coverage of women’s sport over the coming years.   As part of all of this you’ll see on our social channels that our presenters have made their pledge, and we’re encouraging you to #ShowYourStripes and make your pledge to either Participate, Attend or Promote women’s sporting events.
