"15 out of 16 in my class are in mica impacted homes - I can't sleep at night"

The impact of Mica on homeowners goes way beyond bricks and mortar and is having a huge strain on people's mental health; especially children. The Mica Action Group have carried out a survey of effected homeowners recently; 70% reported as suffering from anxiety, 65% are having difficulty sleeping, and 25% said they are now suffering from depression and having to medicate themselves because of the impact this is having. While schools in Inishowen are also seeing more and more young people asking is there someone to talk to.
