There's something fishy about this. Dingle's Oceanworld Aquarium has been receiving quite a lot of attention this week all because of their gay penguins. Headlines have been squawking about how over half of their Gentoo penguins have chosen same-sex partners. It's even become an international matter, with the aquarium receiving a call from The New York Post no less! View this post on Instagram Did you know that when a male Penguin falls in love he searches for the perfect pebble to present to his true love. . . . . Who will you be giving your perfect pebble to this Valentine's Day? A post shared by Oceanworld aquarium (@dingleaquarium) on Feb 10, 2019 at 11:59am PST However, we've been carrying out some hard-nosed journalism. It turns out the story has gotten totally out of flipper. Speaking to Maura from the aquarium, we found out the aquarium has 2 couples which are same sex. So 4 penguins out of 14. Missy and Bubbles, two females, are living very happily together. While two males, Uisce and Oisin, have also paired up. Whatever the mix up, we absolutely love this story. We hope Missy, Bubbles, Uisce and Oisin have many more happy-feet years together!
