Budget 2021: What Does It Mean For You?

Minister for Finance Paschal Donohoe today announced a budget package worth €17.75 billion. There will be a €3.4 billion recovery fund aimed at increasing employment. Remote workers can claim back costs such as broadband, heat and light, while the self-employed are set to benefit from increased tax credits. A reduced VAT rate of 9% will also be in place for restaurants and the hospitality sector from 1 November until the end of next year. Ian Guider, markets editor of the Business Post, was joined by ISME CEO Neil McDonnell, Norah Collender, Professional Tax Leader at Chartered Accountants Ireland, and Adrian Cummins, CEO of the Restaurants Association of Ireland, to outline exactly what Budget 2021 will mean for you.
